Join us on Sunday for worship services
at  10:00 am.

Instructions can be found below.
All are Welcome!

"Living the Resurrection Life"

This Sunday is sometimes called the Good Shepherd Sunday.  It is called that because it is the Sunday where Psalm 23 and John 10 are the passages used by the Revised Common Lectionary as the scripture lessons for the day.  John referring to Jesus as the Good Shepherd and Psalm 23 which so many know as a psalm of comfort during life's most distressing times are the foundation for this Sunday's message.  These 2 passages that comfort us and lull us into a false sense of security will get a bit more scrutiny this week.

"LIVING THE RESURRECTION LIFE" causes us to look at these passages a little differently.  We hear a message that tells a bit of a different story and calls each of us to a slightly different response.  I guess that means you may want to join us in-person or turn to our YouTube channel on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. to hear the details!!!

Register to worship with us in person OR join us online as we live stream worship on our Woodridge UMC YouTube Channel.

Reading Assignment for Tuesday, April 27th:
Chapter 1 of Galatians, plus any introduction and/or notes your bible provides.
Questions to consider:
—Where is Galatia?
—As you read it, what tone does Paul set in the very first couple verses? In what ways does that tone continue throughout the chapter? In what ways does it change?
—If this letter were sent to you, how would you feel? Would you keep reading beyond chapter 1?

Wednesday bible study meets at 6:00 pm on Wednesday evenings.  Our current study  is I Corinthians:  Searching the Depths of God by Jaime Clark-Soles.  It is available through Cokesbury, Amazon and on Kindle.  Contact Pastor Danita if you would like to join this study.
